Decanoate
This is the compound originally known as Deca durabolan and
most commonly referred to as simply “Deca.”
The decanoate ester makes hormone release from injection sight
very slow and also very long lasting. The metabolites can be detectable
for as long as 6 months after usage – long after the compound is active.
For this reason Deca should not be used in any situation where the athlete will
be tested for enhancement.
Deca is a low androgenic steroid with high anabolic effect. It
will aromatize in high dosages, but not at the rate of testosterone.
Progesterone buildup is one side effect with which some have trouble. Deca can
also increase Prolactin and for this reason one may choose to add Cabaser or
Dostinex to their cycle. Adding Winstrol also seems to have an anti progesterone
effect.
Deca increases
size quickly though this is due in part to
water retention.
The Deca/Winstrol combination works well in this case since Winstrol will
increase anabolism with virtually no water retention. The fact that Deca
alleviates joint pain counteracts the “dry joint” syndrome associated with
Winstrol so they each counteract the negative sides while enhancing the positive
ones.
The joint relief and healing that Deca provides is one of the
main reasons it has become a very popular steroid with bodybuilders but the
quick mass and strength gains are undeniable as well.
Serious side
effects are typically not an issue with Deca Durabolin as long as doses are kept
within reasonable range, however in higher dosages Deca can cause impotence.
Women bodybuilders
are also fond of this substance in dosages of 50 mgs a week, where it's mild
androgenic nature makes it a safe steroid for them to use without fear of
masculizing side effects, though some bloating is inevitable.
Deca should be combined with other steroids sine the risk to
benefit ratio grows exponentially after 500 mgs or so. Male bodybuilders often
use Deca in doses as low as 200 and as high as 800mgs a week. When mixed
with other compounds, 400 mgs for 6-10 weeks can be a safe and effective
dosage to feel the effects of Deca.
